Our Why
FINLEY'S STORY
“Finley’s brief life came to an end on August 16, 2013, after a medical malpractice incident during birth. As a loss mom, I started The Finley Project to fill the need for holistic healing after losing a child….”
HI, I'm NOELLE
I've been there, so I understand. I made it, and you can too.
“I saw an urgent need for mothers and families to have someone come along side of them and be their gauge and compass.”
Just 22 days after her daughter's birth, Noelle Moore-Fernandez tragically lost her first child, Finley Elizabeth. Feeling a gap between hospital care and home support during her grief, she was inspired to take action on a calling from God.

THE TEAM

From providing emotional support and logistical guidance to creating resources that nurture healing, our team works tirelessly to ensure every mother receives the care and attention she deserves during her journey of grief.
Together, we are united by a purpose: to offer hope, connection, and practical assistance when it is needed most. We are proud to stand beside the families we serve, offering a foundation of love and strength.

Hardest thing you've ever done?
Spending 6 months in the hospital with Berkeley and then having to say goodbye to him.

VOLUNTEER DIRECTOR
Why are you a member of The Finley Project®?
I love working with The Finley Project® because I believe we were not created to go through life alone, but in community with one another. When I hear this quote it reminds me of our wonderful volunteers and mothers...."One day you will tell your story of how you've overcome what you are going through now, and it will become part of someone else's survival guide."

Brenda
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Why are you a member of The Finley Project®?
I know for me and in my life’s journey, I was blessed to have people along the way who were my “hope-givers” – and because of them, my life changed. Now through The Finley Project®, I can be a part of a community that nurtures hope and healing to mothers who have experienced the unimaginable.

Melissa
PROGRAM MANAGER
Why are you a member of The Finley Project®?
I've had the honor to see firsthand how The Finley Project provides hope, support, community, and healing. The friendships and bonds created are often unexpected blessings that form alongside a mom as she navigates her healing journey. It's also incredibly special to see a full-circle moment when moms reach out and want to find ways to give back or volunteer in honor of their precious babies.

Michelle
PROGRAM MANAGER
Hardest thing you've ever done?
Walking through my separation and divorce. It is not something I ever thought I would go through but I saw God show up in many ways. It was through that time that I found my community and I'm so thankful for the women who came alongside me.
